Having driven Monarch Pass countless times, being on a bike with a couple thousand other cyclists today was top notch. Going 3-5mph allows you to really take in the view.

Adaptive Sports Center riders made their way up Monarch one by one. A ten mile climb to the summit is no small feat and all of our riders made it to the top. The handcyclists made their slow ascent and then burned everyone on the downhill only slowing down to traffic ahead.

Regrouping at aid station four in the little town of Maysville was a highlight with all riders recapping their fast, windy and long descent down Monarch. We rode together the remainder of the way giving a chance for everyone to ride as a team for the first time.

Tomorrow, we tackle Independence Pass but first we tackle the taco bar tonight for dinner. Bike for now!
