This June will mark my seventh year with Ride The Rockies and over ten years in the cycling industry. It’s a true privilege to direct this event; one that is steeped in tradition and attracts people from all over the world. It’s a job unlike any other, where the state of Colorado is my office and my “colleagues” encompass not only staff, but volunteers, partners, sponsors and town representatives; so many great people from all walks of life.

Our 29th annual tour showcases some of Colorado’s finest communities; a number of which are renowned for world-class skiing, but it’s their summertime activities that make them desirable destinations year-round. Six classic stages, coupled with a Front Range start and finish should appeal to the masses and make for an enjoyable week in the saddle.

We are grateful to all those who have ridden in the past and to all those who through their generous contributions make this event possible every year. It remains a great honor to lead such a dedicated staff and group of volunteers in orchestrating RTR and there is no greater reward than a smile on a cyclist’s face after a good day’s ride.

I look forward to seeing you this summer ~ in the meantime safe training and keep the rubberside down!
