The bikes are assembled and ready to go at Fairview High School. The contents of my bike box lacked pedals and the front wheel skewer, nothing $130 and a trip to a bike shop couldn’t fix. We flew in on what I would call a micro jet with insufficient air conditioning. It took us over three hours to reach our hotel in Louisville from the Denver airport. Our hotel did not have a room reserved under our name. However we did secure a hotel room and all minor inconveniences will be quickly forgotten, when at last tomorrow we RIDE THE ROCKIES.

Doug relaxes with our local friends Rich and Anita near Central Park.
We picked up our registration packs and enjoyed a pre-ride meal with the Davis Phinney Foundation Team. We are ready to go. At least we will be as soon as I quit blogging and pack up for tomorrow.
Doug and I, along with two local friends, soaked up Boulder culture by indulging in chai tea from the Dushanbe Tea House while wandering around the Ride The Rockies gathering in Central Park.
See you on the road!
