Ride The Rockies is a moving circus. Us riders pack our week’s worth of bike gear into a bag. Then the staff moves it to the next town. When we get to that next town we settle in and make it home for a night. This would be less possible and less fun if we carried our bags with us from town to town. I mean seriously do you wanna ride your stuff up Berthoud Pass?
While there are many champions/volunteers that make this journey possible, the nine guys and gals who take care of our luggage are at the top of my list.

They put the bags in front of the color of your wrist band to make it easier to find.
They get up at the crack of dawn with us crazy riders to load our crap in the three semi-trucks. Then they get to the next town and unload all three trucks.
Once the trucks are unloaded they then offer to carry our bags to indoor or outdoor camping. Crazy dedication. This morning I watched in amazement as they unloaded every shape, size and weight of bag from a small backpack to a huge heavy duty wheeled tote. They were steady and constant just moving efficiently to line the bags up and work within the space given to them.

A few of the guys that have helped me load, unload and carry Team Bunkers bags.
Again last night in Winter Park they were working the the freezing rain and still offered to take my bags. They were in their normal gear getting wet and cold. I didn’t hear them complain, they just worked. So this is my SHOUT OUT to you guys. Much love and thanks!
