2023 Prologue Special Guests & More!

Peter IndovinoBlog, Blog – 2023 RTR

We have a few very special guests joining us for this year’s Ride The Rockies Prologue Experience, that will make this prelude of the ride an unforgettable experience. From incredible chefs to legendary cyclists you will not want to miss out on the 2023 Prologue Experience.

First, I’d like to introduce Biju Thomas. Biju has mastered what it looks like to combine culinary expertise with endurance events and races. In 2014, Thomas opened Biju’s Little Curry Shop in Denver, where he introduced Colorado to many of the dishes he grew up on offering healthy Indian cuisine. The shop did incredibly well and expanded, locations and into food markets like Whole Foods. After closing his shops in 2020, Biju took a turn to begin providing his cooking and cuisine to all kinds of Outdoor recreation, adventures and endurance athletes. As the senior food and nutrition contributor for Outside Magazine and the Founder of Basecamp the sky was the limit for Thomas in this industry. He’s been providing food for participants and athletes for over 20 years and we could not be more excited to bring him along and have our riders experience the detailed and delicious meals he’ll bring.

Another incredible catering partner we are thrilled to announce for not only the 2023 Prologue Experience but throughout the ride is Lick Skillet. Started in Fort Collins by John and SJ Lawyer, this boutique catering company specializes in custom menus designed for events and. They have a corndog food truck concept called Corndoggies, a ramen restaurant in Fort Collins called RamaMama and full catering service that delivers a wide variety of flavors and recipes. Their ability to create meals specific to each of their events is what truly separates Lick Skillet from others and we could not be more excited to have them along for this year’s ride.

A special guest for our Prologue Experience that many of you may know is Todd Gogluski. Todd will be our MC for our cocktail party Friday night at New Belgium brewing and the following night for the VIP dinner at the Lincoln Center. Gogulski is an ex-pro racer who grew up in Northern California and Santa Fe, New Mexico. After riding for a variety of teams in his early years he joined Speed Drive, where he won the National Team Time Trial Championship in 1986. In the years following, Todd raced for Lowenbrau Crest, Coors Light, and Subaru Montgomery which later became the U.S Postal Team. He’s been teammates with some of the best including Greg Lamond and Lance Armstrong.

Following his professional racing career Todd worked in PR for a start-up bicycle tire company, did promotions for Saturn Cycling, and began stage announcing for a variety of cycling events. In 2009 Gogulski joined NBC Universal Sports and began a fulfilling career in sports commentary. Todd will bring his cycling expertise and humor to our 2023 Prologue weekend and we can not wait for you to experience it!

This year’s Prologue beneficiary is the The Davis Phinney Foundation For Parkinson’s and we are thrilled to announce Olympic cyclist, Davis Phinney will be joining us on Prologue ride. The organization’s focus is to provide programs, early-stage research, and resources that offer inspiration, information, and tools that enable people living with Parkinson’s to take action that can immediately improve their quality of life. The Foundation’s work impacts hundreds of thousands of individuals and families each year.
