Day 4 June 13th Dinosaur National Monument

90 Miles – +5,536′ Elevation Gain

We are thrilled to offer you the first gravel section in Ride The Rockies history and what better place to do it than Dinosaur National Monument. The Rangely Gravel Grinder will be a 90 mile loop that will split off as the two other road routes for Day 4 head for Canyon Overlook. This gravel section will have some punchy climbs and a long epic descent before joining back with the road riders in Dinosaur. 

Day 5 June 14th Rangely to Fruita – Dragon Gravel Grinder

103 Miles – +6,756′ Elevation Gain

You’ll immediately start off on gravel going up and out of Rangely, shortly after you’ll have a short road section before starting the ascent up to Baxter Pass. The climbing up Baxter Pass is challenging yet scenic and you will summit the pass at 8848′ of elevation. After your grueling climb you’ll enjoy a long descent with incredible views into Mesa County. The route will take you through peaceful Mesa Valley and right into Downtown Fruita for an epic finish in the heart of town.

This is sure to be an iconic day in Ride the Rockies history, a century gravel day packed with tough climbing and unique views. If you are looking for a challenge and a ride you can not find anywhere else, this is it!

Day 6 June 15th Fruita to Fruita – Colorado National Monument

39 Miles – +3,099′ Elevation Gain

Ride The Rockies 2024 final day! We will end the 2024 tour with a loop through Colorado National Monument and finish in downtown Fruita at Civic Center Park. This will be an incredible last day of riding through a gorgeous national monument followed by an epic party!
